Seminars that can help build your skills to trade the stock market on
line.
James Forrester
James Forrester is a retired Business/Management Teacher and
Educational Manager. Since retirement he has spent much of his time
doing voluntary work for the Bahá’í Faith and his local Rotary Club and
supporting family
activities.
He became interested in Share Trading and Investment in the years
approaching retirement and finally did a Home Study Course,
because he felt he did not know enough to be able to successfully
invest and trade in the sharemarket without making some of the
common mistakes most people make.
His view is that you either pay for education in advance, or you pay
for it in the "University of Hard Knocks" called life experience.
The financial markets make no allowances for
beginners. Beginners and Experts are all treated alike, but the more
experienced do have an "Edge"
based on their learning from this "University of
Hard Knocks".
Even with an education you can still make mistakes and learn the
hard way, but you should be able to avoid the worst mistakes.
Since then it has been a gradual learning process using a limited pool
of funds for share trading purposes. There have been wins and
losses, but also a steady consolidation of learning and a slowly
growing
portfolio from the combination of
studying the market and trying out different systems and strategies
with the funds available. Some are conservative, and it "is like
watching grass grow", others use leveraged products like options and
CFD's . They can make money very quickly when you get the
direction and price movement right, but they can lose it just as
quickly if you do not follow the appropriate risk management strategies.
Winning is ultimately managing the risk, cutting your losses, and
letting the profitable trades run.
This site was constructed to do three things:
- Consolidate his own learning, because by
teaching and sharing his knowledge with others he finds he learns more and
retains it better.
- Provide others with guidance on good
sources of education, if they are interested to learn about share and
option trading.
- Generate some additional income so that he
can invest it in the many opportunities that he now sees with his new
found knowledge.
